Job SummaryDistribution Associate works in a warehouse environment and performs activities related to receiving, storing, loading and shipping of products. This position will be responsible for ensuring all material requirements are met by coordinating the timely and accurate processing of all outgoing shipments while maintaining a high level of accuracy and compliance with established procedures.
Responsibilities- Receiving, storing, loading and shipping of products
- Ensure all material requirements are met by coordinating the timely and accurate processing of all outgoing shipments
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and compliance with established procedures
- Work closely with team members to enable the timely and accurate processing of all outgoing shipments
- Interact with internal customers to provide information on order status and expedite requests
- Prepare goods received into inventory, including verifying quantity and condition of merchandise against purchase orders or invoices; reconcile any discrepancies as needed
- Pick, pack, and label customer orders; arrange for transportation; complete packing slips; prepare bills of lading; and review freight bills for accuracy
- Arrange storage space and assign bin location based on product characteristics and size
- Complete daily cycle counts; reconcile variances; and communicate findings to management
- Assist in quarterly and annual inventories
- Conduct physical inventory counts to ensure the accuracy of stock levels and locations
- Participate in CIP activities as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Ability to operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE), such as forklifts, pallet jacks and handcarts
- Good communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous distribution experience preferred
