Overview

Target is hiring a Food & Beverage Expert. The Food & Beverage team enables a consistent guest experience by ensuring product is fresh, in stock, available and accurately priced on the sales floor. This team leads food and food services including replenishment, inventory accuracy, food safety, presentation, pricing and promotional signing processes for all Food & Beverage areas of the store.

• Deliver an exceptional guest experience, providing a fresh and full shopping experience during all hours of operations, prioritizing the guest’s needs over tasks.
• Uphold and maintain the execution of the Food & Beverage Standards.
• Execute Food & Beverage processes including deliveries, replenishment, straightening merchandise, in-stocks routines, data accuracy, culling, rotation, cleaning, signing and storing reserve product.
• Follow all food safety requirements as outlined in Target’s policies and procedures.
• Use sampling and suggestive selling to promote products and increase sales.
• Work with vendors to set, maintain and modify sales floor merchandise displays and backroom organization.
• Locate and identify damaged, recalled or expired items and handle according to Target’s procedures.
• Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store to solve guest issues and improve their experience.
• Comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws, including adult beverage rules where applicable.
• Follow PPE guidelines and equipment control procedures.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance; work safely and report hazards.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pickup, and drive-up while adhering to laws and compliance requirements.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests and assisting with their needs.
• All other duties based on business needs.

• Must be at least 18 years of age (Bakery Only).
• Previous food or grocery experience preferred but not required.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
• Ability to communicate on multiple devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; resolve guest questions quickly.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes.
• Ability to remain focused in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established time frames.

• Accurate cash handling as needed.
• Ability to climb stairs or ladders.
• Move and handle merchandise safely, including lifting up to 44 pounds.
• Flexible schedule (nights, weekends, holidays) with reliable attendance.
• Ability to work in varied temperatures (34°F to
  -10°F as needed) and environments with common allergens.
• Capacity to work in spaces with varying temperatures, humidity and other elements during duties like Drive-Up or carryout.
• Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift.
