Job Description

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

Bag groceries at checkout, aiming for at least five items per bag without damage.

Follow best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).

Assist in removing customer's merchandise from bascarts for checkout.

Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.

Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of grocery specials.

Return merchandise to store shelves and gather bascarts.

Clean spills, collect trash inside the store and parking lot, and clean all areas inside and outside the store.

Handle seasonal merchandise and understand store layout for product location and price checks.

Reinforce safety programs, comply with safety procedures, and report unsafe conditions.

Adhere to food safety regulations and perform preventive maintenance on equipment.

Create a welcoming environment for customers and assist with questions about products.

Follow all laws, regulations, and company policies.

Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment, managing conflicts professionally.

Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.

Seek assistance when needed and support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.

Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
