Overview

Guest Advocate (Cashier or Front of Store Attendant/Cart Attendant) (T1869) rting hourly rate: $18.25 USD per hour.

• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks and assist with guest needs.
• Engage with guests to help solve their specific needs and communicate current promos, store activities and events.
• Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store, and how to solve issues to improve the guest experience.
• Explain and promote the benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with application or sign-up as needed.
• Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with safety standards and best practices.
• Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service quality and accuracy.
• Explain how to use features and offerings within the Target App, including Wallet, and guide guests to use Order Pick-Up, Drive Up, and online ordering.
• Handle returns following policies, and collaborate with leadership as needed to resolve guest concerns.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and stock supplies during store hours while remaining available to assist guests.
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; adhere to safety policies and report hazards.
• Support guest services such as order pick up, drive-up orders, and returns, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and store policies.
• Perform other duties based on business needs.

• Accurately handle checkout operations and cashier duties; support cash office operations as needed.
• Scan, handle, and move merchandise safely; frequently lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 44 pounds without assistance.
• Flexible work schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays; reliable attendance required.
• Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a shift; variable shift lengths.
• Exposure to varying temperatures and conditions while performing duties such as Drive-Up and carryout.
