Reporting to the Director of Nursing/OR this position enables patients to approach surgery with understanding and confidence. Acts as liaison between hospital, patient, and physicians. Alerts Surgeons and Anesthesiologist regarding abnormal lab results and medication problems. Assembles required lab, x-ray and EKG reports on patients carepre-op. Instructs patient regarding appropriate medication prior to surgery.
