Overview
Serve as a Technical Consultant to our customers and their ArcGIS Enterprise systems with a focus on RDBMS (Relational Database Management System)/Enterprise Geodatabase (eGDB) refactoring, analysis, and optimization. Working with our team of ArcGIS Enterprise-focused System Engineers, this position will expand the breadth and depth of our consulting work in eGDB/RDBMS. Much of the team’s work is Enterprise Migration and Troubleshooting consulting.
In migrations, database changes may include data centers, machines, RDBMS software releases, eGDB releases, and RDBMS products. In troubleshooting, you’ll determine whether the problem is in the RDBMS and contribute to diagnosis and optimization work when the RDBMS layer is a factor.
The position requires someone accomplished with RDBMS administration, performance analysis, and troubleshooting with at least one product (SQL Server, Postgre
SQL, and more) and an interest in developing skills in other RDBMS products. The ideal candidate will have an interest in ArcGIS Enterprise itself and growing into consulting efforts more focused on ArcGIS Enterprise technology layers, with opportunities to grow into other relevant data‑tier technologies (No
SQL, cloud-native, and more). The work is challenging and innovative as it addresses the liminal space of ArcGIS Enterprise and enterprise IT systems.
ArcGIS provides contextual tools for mapping and spatial reasoning so users can explore data and share location‑based insights. Esri’s Professional Services Division plays a crucial role in the innovation of the ArcGIS enterprise mapping and analytics platform. Our mission is simple yet powerful: enable user success, broaden the impact of GIS, and push our platform to make our technology better.
