LVN, Healthcare Nursing

Reporting to the Director of Emergency Services, this position provides the appropriate nursing skills within the scope of practice by the California Board of Licensed Vocational Nursing. The Licensed Vocational Nurse is to provide care as assigned and supervised by a Registered Nurse.

Reporting to the Charge Nurse, this position provides primarily back‑office support performing various technical duties. May also perform front office duties such as scheduling patient appointments, patient registration, answering telephones, maintaining medical records, determining program eligibility and billing. Collects essential health, medical, and biographical information from the patient or the patient’s parent/legal guardian to be placed into the medical record. Performs and assists the providers with basic procedures adhering to scope of training and experience.
