Job Type: Full‑time, Non‑exempt
Work Hours: Tuesday – Saturday; 7AM – 3:30PM. Assigned days and/or shift can be changed according to staffing needs. Must be available evenings, holidays, and weekends as required.
Work Setting: In‑person
Travel: High frequency travel by auto to One Legacy facilities use company vehicle to perform essential functions.
Summary of Functions: The Central Supply Inventory & Distribution Technician (IDT) will oversee the ordering, receiving, and distribution of all clinical supplies and equipment; monitor deliveries, shelving, and rotation of stock; track inventory levels for tissue and organ needs; and manage distribution of stock to supply depots at all One Legacy locations. The IDT coordinates logistics to maximize use, identify opportunities to eliminate waste, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, Code of Federal Regulations, and applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Duties & Responsibilities Central Supply Operations Tasks- Transport organ/tissue supplies to Los Angeles and Orange offices, rotate and shelve items, track inventory volumes, and discard outdated items while ensuring adequate levels for clinical readiness.
- Monitors and coordinates the maintenance of proper par levels of recovery supplies at all One Legacy recovery facilities.
- Examines recovery supplies usage at all recovery locations and adjusts par levels accordingly within the supply management system.
- Maintains constant communications with the recovery locations to monitor their recovery supplies needs.
- Coordinates all aspects of packing organ and tissue recovery supplies bins and packs.
- Assesses the need for and facilitates ordering of new recovery instruments, coolers/bins, and recovery supplies.
- Coordinates all aspects of cleaning of Central Supply warehouse inventory storage areas and recovery kits per One Legacy’s policies and procedures.
- Ensures cleanliness of central supply areas at each One Legacy facility as outlined in One Legacy’s policies and procedures; responsible for daily disposal of trash and recycling receptacles in the Central Supply warehouse.
- Participates in routine material inventory reconciliation to ensure proper utilization of supply management systems.
- Performs medical gas and air cylinder rotation to support donor management in the facility, including removal of gas lines, relocation and replacement of cylinders, and gas line reconnection.
- Assists Manager in preparing Central Supply Operations for internal or external audits/inspections.
- Supports vehicle fleet by transporting vehicles to maintenance and repair appointments, refueling, and cleaning activities.
- Ensures compliance with Human Resources policies and company guidelines.
- Attends all department staff meetings.
- Attends annual hazard communication and control safety training sessions for Cal‑OSHA, contract processors, and other training programs as deemed necessary.
- Performs all duties in compliance with policies, procedures, regulations, and applicable laws; performs quality control practices as defined by the policies and procedures.
- Supports the organization’s Standards of Professional Conduct and the mission, vision, and values.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
- Remains available after hours in case of emergencies.
- Works overtime as needed/required based on department needs.
Education: Associate’s degree from a two‑year college, completion of a Surgical Technologist or EMT program, or equivalent training in an affiliated health field preferred.
Experience: Minimum of two years in supply management preferred.
