Soccer Shots Inland Empire East is looking for an Early Education Soccer Instructor in the Greater Inland Empire area.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and deliver age-appropriate soccer sessions (30–45 minutes) for children ages 2–8, at schools or public parks, with weekday afternoons and additional evening and weekend sessions seasonally.
  • Represent Soccer Shots core values in all interactions:

  • Engage and communicate with children, parents, and team members; provide weekly summaries to parents and timely communication about cancellations or changes.
  • Follow the developmentally appropriate curriculum and participate in ongoing training and certification processes; contribute to program improvement and stay aligned with early childhood education standards.
  • Occasionally travel between sites within the Greater Inland Empire East area to conduct sessions.
Qualifications
  • Love kids and soccer; bring energy and a positive attitude to every session.
  • Reliable transportation; experience working with children; strong communication skills with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • A soccer background is a plus; completing at least 12 Early Childhood Education college units is advantageous; a bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred, or a student working toward one.
  • Pass a Child Abuse History Clearance and Background Check; present a copy of TB test, MMR, and TDAP vaccinations upon hire.
  • Must be at least 18 years old and live locally; shy personalities need not apply.
Requirements & Schedule
  • Most classes take place on weekday afternoons onsite at schools or public parks, with additional early evening classes in spring, summer, and fall; busy Saturday/Sunday morning sessions year-round.
  • Position functions in an outside sports environment; may involve exposure to extreme temperatures and a physical, exercise-like routine. Ability to run, stop, stoop, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Ability to drive in and around the Greater Inland Empire East area to multiple sites.

Who We Are

Soccer Shots is an engaging intro-to-soccer program for ages 2-8, focusing on character development. We offer year-round soccer at public parks, elementary schools, and preschools, with territory coverage from Fontana to Beaumont (main hub in Redlands). We teach children character development (respect, confidence, determination, etc.), help instill positive self-esteem, and provide high-quality, foundational soccer training aligned with early childhood education standards.

Our Training & Standards
  • Every Soccer Shots coach completes comprehensive training to receive certification; coaches are trained in developmentally appropriate techniques and are regularly evaluated and receiving ongoing training.
  • Our coach selection process emphasizes the ability to coach soccer and engage/inspire children; we provide an exceptional customer experience with ongoing communication to parents (weekly summaries, weather-related cancellations, timely responses).
  • Curriculum is developmentally appropriate and aligned with early childhood education standards; created with guidance from childhood education specialists, professional soccer players, and experienced coaches, and continually updated to stay current.

Compensation:
Training $16.50 per hour. Lead Coach $18–$30 per session, depending on job performance, experience, education, and credentials. This is a great opportunity for college students.
