Blue Elephant are looking for a Hire Coordinator - Technical Production Live Events. Are you a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment? Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: Circa £30,000 per annum, depending on experience

Role

Purpose:

As a Hire Coordinator, you will be a central point of contact for and management of our equipment rental operations. You will balance client relationship management with meticulous inventory control to ensure the seamless delivery of technical kit for live events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enquiry Management: Act as the first point of contact for all incoming hire requests, providing professional advice and timely quotes to clients.
  • Client Relationship Management: Proactively manage and grow relationships with both new and existing dry hire partners to ensure repeat business.
  • System Administration & Logistics Liaison: Take full ownership of the rental management software, ensuring all bookings, schedules, and client data are processed accurately. Work in close partnership with the logistics department to ensure that system data translates into efficient transport planning and crewing.
  • Shortage Resolution: Identify potential equipment shortfalls and implement cost-effective solutions, such as sub-hires or internal scheduling adjustments, to meet client needs.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Service-Driven: A genuine passion for delivering high-quality customer service and exceeding client expectations.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly with industry professionals.
  • Technical Knowledge: Proven experience with industry-standard AV equipment (Lighting, Sound, Video, and/ or Rigging).
  • Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in equipment lists, contracts, and inventory records.
  • IT Literacy: Strong IT skills, with the ability to quickly learn and navigate rental management software and standard office suites.
