We are seeking a talented and experienced Cloud Dev Ops Engineer with AWS experience to join our team in Redhill, Surrey.

PLEASE NOTE:

This role will be based in our Redhill Office (London Road, Surrey, RH1 1NA
) on a Hybrid basis and you may be required to commute to the office 3 days per week. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud technologies, particularly AWS, and experience with container platforms. Travelers Europe currently offers flexibility to employees who wish to work on a hybrid basis in accordance with our Hybrid Work Arrangements Policy. This entails full time employees working three days a week in the office and two days at home (or pro rata for part-time employees). This policy may be changed at the Company’s discretion.

• Design, implement, and manage cloud-based infrastructure solutions using AWS native services.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
• Monitor system performance and reliability, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure optimal uptime and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define infrastructure requirements, identify areas for improvement, and implement best practices.
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in cloud computing and Dev Ops methodologies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Experience as a Dev Ops Engineer.
• Strong proficiency in cloud technologies, particularly AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, IAM, SNS, SQS).
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes or Amazon EKS.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Power Shell.
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or AWS Cloud Formation.
• Knowledge of CI/CD concepts and experience with tools like Jenkins, Git Lab CI/CD, or AWS Code Pipeline.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• AWS certification (AWS Certified Dev Ops Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Technology or a similar field (or equivalent experience).
• Strong understanding of software development principles, including object‑oriented programming and design patterns.
• Proficiency in Python for developing automation scripts, tools, and applications.
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git, and understanding of branching strategies.
• Familiarity with software testing methodologies and frameworks, such as unit testing and integration testing.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Experience with code review processes and tools.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
• Knowledge of security best practices in software development and deployment.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools to ensure application performance and reliability.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.

• Advanced knowledge of one or more of the following technical skills:
  Foundational IT Infrastructure, Operating Systems and Software.
