Onsite - Detroit Manufacturing Plant
-Redford, Michigan
2-year Contract with potential for FTE
Interviews:
One initial phone interview followed by an in-person interview at the plant if all goes well with the initial call.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinates quality objectives with other departments
- Drives continuous improvement by developing and implementing error and mistake proofing
- Keeps management abreast of progress, developments and pending problems
- Drive issues to closure through the various quality feedback loops
- Analyzes assembly process data to look for trends or possible upcoming concerns.
- Works with Advanced Quality Tools (i.e., PFMEAs) to ensure a quality assembly process
- Keeps management abreast of progress, developments and pending problems
- Analyzes SPC data and works with manufacturing engineering to make process improvements
- Knowledge of GD&T and CMM operations
- Facilitate others in the executions of Quality Improvement activities
- To work in a plant environment, working hands-on with engine assembly
- Working directly with operations team, collaborating with them throughout the night documenting progress and issues and working into next shift setting them up for success.
- 20% meetings 80% on the floor with the team.
- Collaborate with day shift to prepare for their afternoon shift and keep the ball rolling from what day shift has started.
- Requires a bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of relevant experience
- Requires working knowledge and expanded professional experience in job field
- Requires understanding of key business drivers
- Experience with PFMEAs, Knowledge of GD&T and CMM operations
- Experience in manufacturing environment.
- Potentially consider candidates with a wealth of experience but no degree.
- Product knowledge of transmissions, Axles, Engines
- SPC/MSA/PFMEA experience.
- Works independently within guidelines and policies to solve problems of moderate complexity
- Provides in normal guidance to new team members
- May lead projects or processes as required
- Problem solving skills ability to lead meetings, deeply involved with Alex, ability to collaborate and manage various personalities.
- Ability to produce campaigns and finding solutions for problems that arise throughout the day
