Despatch Coordinator

A well-established manufacturing business is recruiting for a Despatch Coordinator to join their team, due to increased export requirements and business growth.

You will be focusing on the accurate and compliant despatch of products to customers worldwide. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced export and logistics professional who enjoys a hands-on role in a busy manufacturing environment.

As a Despatch Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating international and domestic shipments, ensuring all documentation and processes meet UK and overseas regulations, including the following duties
- Arranging deliveries via courier, air freight and sea freight
Managing carrier bookings and maintaining communication with logistics partners
Preparing export documentation in line with UK and international regulations, including liaison with the Chamber of Commerce
Coordinating logistics, import and export shipping to ensure accurate and timely despatch
Producing commercial invoices, packing lists and certificates of origin and filing documentation electronically
Handling customer communication via email and telephone
Liaising with Credit Control to confirm account status prior to shipment
Working closely with Sales to ensure customer delivery requirements and dates are met
Supporting improvements to despatch controls, systems and working practices

Ideally you will have the following skills & experience
- Recent office-based experience within Export, Logistics, Shipping, Freight Forwarding and/or Haulage
Strong understanding of UK import and export procedures and customs requirements
Knowledge of Incoterms
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
High attention to detail and accuracy
Experience using SAP (desirable but not essential)

Working hours Monday - Friday (40 per week) office-based
25 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays
