Proactive currently have an exciting opportunity for a PCB Assembler to begin work for a leading manufacturing and production business in Redditch. The idle candidate will be helping in PCB assembly, soldering of components. If you enjoy working in a clean, modern environment with high-spec equipment, and want to be involved in producing electronics for exciting sectors such as defence, space, and motor sport this is the opportunity for you.

• Soldering a wide range of PTH components to IPC or J-STD standards (Class 2 & 3)
• Using X‑Ray inspection equipment to check solder joints
• Assembling simple cables, small mechanical builds, and enclosures
• Programming and operating selective soldering and wave soldering machines
• Following build instructions and manufacturing drawings accurately
• Using the company's computer‑based system to record production notes and log time
• Reporting quality issues and working closely with the quality manager to maintain standards

• Desirable:
  Experience soldering to IPC or J‑STD standards
• Essential:
  Comfortable with a mix of manual assembly and operating soldering equipment
• Essential:
  Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to quality
• Essential:
  Ability to read and follow technical drawings and production documentation
• Desirable:
  Previous experience in a manufacturing or electronics environment
