Proactive currently have an exciting opportunity for a PCB Assembler to begin work for a leading manufacturing and production business in Redditch. The idle candidate will be helping in PCB assembly, Soldering of components.

If you enjoy working in a clean, modern environment with high-spec equipment, and want to be involved in producing electronics for exciting sectors such as defence, space, and motor sport this is the opportunity for you.

Key Tasks:
Soldering a wide range of PTH components to IPC or J-STD standards (Class 2 &
3)
Using X-Ray inspection equipment to check solder joints
Assembling simple cables, small mechanical builds, and enclosures
Programming and operating selective soldering and wave soldering machines
Following build instructions and manufacturing drawings accurately
Using the company's computer-based system to record production notes and log time
Reporting quality issues and working closely with the quality manager to maintain standards

Experience Required:

Desirable Experience soldering to IPC or J-STD standards
Essential Comfortable with a mix of manual assembly and operating soldering equipment
Essential Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to quality
Essential Ability to read and follow technical drawings and production documentation
Desirable Previous experience in a manufacturing or electronics environment
