Proactive currently have an exciting opportunity for a PCB Assembler to begin work for a leading manufacturing and production business in Redditch. The idle candidate will be helping in PCB assembly, Soldering of components.

If you enjoy working in a clean, modern environment with high-spec equipment, and want to be involved in producing electronics for exciting sectors such as defence, space, and motor sport this is the opportunity for you.

Key Tasks:

* Soldering a wide range of PTH components to IPC or J-STD standards (Class 2 &
3)

* Using X-Ray inspection equipment to check solder joints

* Assembling simple cables, small mechanical builds, and enclosures

* Programming and operating selective soldering and wave soldering machines

* Following build instructions and manufacturing drawings accurately

* Using the company's computer-based system to record production notes and log time

* Reporting quality issues and working closely with the quality manager to maintain standards

Experience

Required:

* Desirable Experience soldering to IPC or J-STD standards

* Essential Comfortable with a mix of manual assembly and operating soldering equipment

* Essential Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to quality

* Essential Ability to read and follow technical drawings and production documentation

* Desirable Previous experience in a manufacturing or electronics environment
