CNC Setter

Position: CNC Setter (Permanent)
Innovative and progressive subcontract Machining Specialist organisation seeks an experienced CNC Sliding Head Setter for immediate start. Permanent Contract offered with competitive rates of pay and progression opportunities provided. Previous CNC experience is essential to fulfil the position of CNC Sliding Head Setter. Within this role you will be offered overtime, free car parking and company pension.

Duties and responsibilities of CNC Sliding Head Setter

* Set and Operate CNC sliding head machines such as Tornos Deco with a TB Deco and/or Fanuc control, Star Fanuc control, Hanwha with Fanuc control

* Fanuc programming (Deco programming as advantage)

* Focus on production of high-quality components

* Maintain the section with offsets and tooling

* Leaving work area/machines in good condition at the end of shift in terms of material tooling

* Ability to leave machines running safely to support next operator starting at 6:45am

* Occasional simple repeat change overs

* Using measuring gauges

* To produce components within the agreed standard time

* Ability to read and interpret drawings

* Working to tight tolerances and in process measurements

* High precision tolerance works as well as volume

* Quality control, working to customer specification

Skills/attributes required by successful candidate for the role of CNC Sliding Head Setter

* Previous experience of CNC Sliding Head Setting

* Attention to detail

* Be an effective communicator

* Be adaptable and willing to go the extra mile to meet tight deadlines

Location:

Redditch, Worcestershire
Hours of work:
Monday to Friday Afternoons (2 – 10pm) OR Monday to Thursday Nights (8pm – 6am)
Pay:
Up to £16.50 per hour on afternoon shifts, up to £19.80 per hour on nights (including a 20%-night shift allowance) Rate dependent on experience
