Supply Chain Coordinator
Full Time, Monday to Friday
£27,000 - £30,000

Pertemps are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing organisation for a Supply Chain Coordinator to join their team. This role plays a key part in supporting the purchasing function by coordinating supplier activity, managing subcontract processes, and ensuring materials and services are delivered in line with production and customer requirements.

The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams including Sales, Operations, Logistics, and Quality to ensure a smooth and efficient supply chain. This position requires strong supplier relationship management, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Raise purchase orders in line with supplier lead times and operational requirements.
Manage subcontract supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance through established KPI measures.
Work proactively with suppliers to track and expedite orders where required to maintain delivery schedules.
Coordinate subcontract processes to ensure they align with fluctuating production demands and customer expectations.
Collaborate with Sales, Operations and Logistics teams to support efficient supply chain and production planning.
Assist the Purchasing team with cost benchmarking and supplier negotiations where required.
Work closely with the Quality team to ensure suppliers meet approval standards and maintain the required certifications.
Maintain accurate data and support effective utilisation of the company ERP system.
Skills and Experience

Minimum of three years’ experience within a Supply Chain, Purchasing, or similar role.
Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Experience managing supplier relationships and monitoring supplier performance metrics.
Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving abilities.
Good working knowledge of ERP systems.
Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
