The Company

Our client are an independent and growing electrical contracting company based in Redditch, delivering high-quality electrical installations and services across the commercial, industrial, and retail sectors. With a reputation for reliability and excellence, they are now looking to expand their team with a skilled Electrical Estimator to support their continued growth.

Role Overview

As an Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive quotations for a variety of electrical projects within the commercial, industrial, and retail sectors. You’ll work closely with management and clients to understand project requirements, assess technical specifications, and deliver cost-effective, high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed and accurate electrical estimates and quotations for new tenders and projects.

Review drawings, specifications, and tender documentation to determine project scope and requirements.

Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive prices for materials and services.

Carry out site visits where necessary to gather relevant project information.

Support the project team throughout the tender and delivery stages.

Maintain and update estimating records and cost databases.

Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.

Skills & Experience Required

Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator within the commercial, industrial, or retail sectors.

Strong understanding of electrical installations, materials, and relevant regulations.

Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.

Excellent numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel); experience with estimating software is advantageous.

Strong communication, organisational, and time management skills.

Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
