Field Service Engineer, Medical Diagnostic Systems

Salary up to £48,000 per year. Car allowance £8,500. Bonus up to £4,000. Includes comprehensive healthcare and pension benefits. Full product training provided.

The Role – As a Field Service Engineer you will service and repair a wide range of sophisticated medical and laboratory diagnostics systems used within pathology departments, NHS laboratories and clinical chemistry environments. You will visit customer sites, troubleshoot issues and liaise with laboratory managers and technicians across NHS and private independent laboratories.

Key Responsibilities –

• Provide on-site servicing and breakdown repair of advanced diagnostic analysers.
• Diagnose and resolve technical problems with laboratory and clinical chemistry equipment.
• Maintain strong relationships with laboratory managers, technicians and other NHS contacts.
• Collaborate with engineering and customer support teams to ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications –

• Background as a field service engineer or technical support engineer with experience on high‑value capital equipment.
• Qualification in electronics or related technical field.
• Experience with diagnostic systems, medical devices, laboratory systems or high‑value electronics/electro‑mechanical equipment.
• Excellent communication and customer‑focused attitude.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites within the region.
