Embedded Systems Engineer

Redditch – Hybrid Working

£65,000pa plus bonus and benefits

T2M Resourcing are working with a growing engineering business that is recruiting a new role as an Embedded Systems Engineer.

The Embedded Systems Engineer position will take responsibility for full control systems development from architecture through to firmware coding, communication protocols, and testing.

Duties of an Embedded System Engineer

• Ownership of the firmware and embedded architecture on STM
  32 MCUs.
• Development of embedded C code.
• Developing communication protocols such as SPI, UART, and RTC.
• Reviewing and managing PCB design.
• Managing and leading GUI development – direct development or management of suppliers.
• Software testing and de-bugging.
• Hardware integration and in-house testing.

Requirements to be successful as an Embedded Systems Engineer

• Extensive experience with embedded C coding.
• Understanding of electronics and PCB design.
• Strong problem solving skills – an engineer that doesn’t have to know the answer, but can find it!
• Detail orientated with high quality coding.
• Understanding of electronics engineering fundamentals.
• Able to plan development work and complete it independently.
• Skilled in code review and debugging software issues.

This Embedded Systems Engineer role will be a hybrid position based from the company site in Redditch however will also involve some travel to other sites in the UK. A UK Driving License is preferred.
