Year 1, SEND Teaching Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking a 1-to-1 SEND Teaching Assistant to join a primary aged class in Redditch. This long-term position will last for a minimum of the academic year and is likely to be extended throughout the student’s time in school. You will work on a 1-to-1 basis with a student who is struggling to adapt to school life and accessing the curriculum.

• Provide individual support to the student, helping them integrate into school and meet their academic targets.
• Work Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. during term time only.

• Previous experience in a school setting is useful but not mandatory.
• Open to applicants from support, residential or care backgrounds with SEND support experience.
• Must be suitably qualified for the role and prepared to attend a face‑to‑face interview.
• Must be able to provide an up‑to‑date DBS or be prepared to allow the agency to process one on your behalf, plus other mandatory compliance checks in line with DfE guidelines.

Pay will be a week in arrears, starting from £89 per day (PAYE), dependent on experience and qualifications.

Work hours:

Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (term time only).
