Overview
The Recruitment Firm are delighted to be working in partnership with a small yet well-established children's residential care provider who are seeking an experienced and dynamic Registered Manager to oversee their 'Good' rated 4 bed EBD home based in Redditch, Worcestershire. If you have a true passion for supporting vulnerable young people with strong leadership skills, this could be the perfect move for you.
Responsibilities- Responsible for the overall management and smooth running of the residential children's home, ensuring that it operates in line with regulatory standards, organisational policies, and best practices
- Lead and supervise a team of residential support workers, ensuring they are well-trained, motivated, and equipped to provide high-quality care and support to children and young people in the home
- Develop and implement individual care plans for each child or young person in the home in consultation with relevant stakeholders such as social workers, parents, and guardians. Ensure that care plans are regularly reviewed and updated to meet changing needs
- Manage the residential children's home budget effectively, ensuring resources are allocated appropriately to meet children and young people's needs while maintaining financial sustainability
- Lead the recruitment and selection process for residential support workers, ensuring that candidates are suitably qualified, experienced, and aligned with the values and ethos of the home. Conduct interviews, assess applications, and make recruitment decisions in accordance with organisational policies and regulatory requirements
- Must have proven experience as a Registered Manager in a children's residential home, with proven outcomes at Ofsted inspection at 'Good' or 'Outstanding'
- Must have Level 3 in Residential Childcare
- Must have Level 5 in Leadership and Management (or be willing to complete)
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate a team
- Full UK driving license
- Permanent right to work in the UK
- Salary up to £60,000 per annum
