Children's Residential Team Leader

Overview

Ashiyana House is a new 2‑bed therapeutic children’s home in Redditch, Worcestershire. We are looking for a full‑time Team Leader to join our dedicated team caring for children aged 8‑18 with learning disabilities, autism and behavioural needs.

Work alongside the Registered and Deputy Manager to ensure the smooth day‑to‑day operation of the home. Support and supervise the staff team. Provide therapeutic activities within the home and local community, ensuring all aspects of the children’s health and well‑being needs are met. Carry out personal care in accordance with care plans and risk assessments. Adhere to the child‑home regulatory framework and the Care Standards Act 2000.

Work at least one sleep‑in shift per week (20:00‑08:00).

MUST demonstrate good knowledge of The Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015, The Children’s Act 1989 and the Care Standards Act 2000.

Strong emphasis on creating an environment that promotes positive change in emotional regulation and behaviour while building secure attachment and healthy relationships. Approaches used:
Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), PACE approach (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, and Empathy) and Sensory Attachment Intervention (SAI).

Role expected to begin March/April 2026.
