Speech and Language Pathologist - Long Term Substitute
Available: Anticipated Early March 2026
Salary & Benefits: In accordance with the Joel Barlow Education Association's bargaining unit agreement. No benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver small group and individual services in order to implement student IEP goals and objectives
- Design, monitor and evaluate evidence-based interventions and outcomes
- Present information at PPT meetings
- Develop goals/objectives for IEP
- Serve as a professional resource to students, teachers, staff, parents
- Work with support staff to ensure appropriate implementation of IEP
Qualifications
:
- Current ASHA certification
- Current CT teaching certification
- Ability to provide both evaluative and therapeutic services
- Experience with providing services to students on the autism spectrum and language-based learning disabilities
- Ability to work a member of team
- Experience in inclusionary and consultation practices
- Knowledge of ABA and behavior principles preferred
- Knowledge of assistive technology/augmentative communication preferred
