• Repair, rebuild, install, and wire all styles of electricity meters and metering equipment.
• Perform shop and field tests, operate computers, and use various metering software packages.
• Communicate effectively with customers, contractors, and other City employees.
• Perform routine field checks and troubleshooting on complex industrial metering schemes to ensure proper operation.
• Determine types of meters and related material necessary to record electrical energy consumption accurately.
• Investigate power-quality complaints and perform load surveys.

• Completion of a formal Electric Meter Technician apprenticeship program or five 🖐🏼 years of relevant journey-level experience.
