Job Description And Duties

Under the general supervision of an IT Supervisor II, the incumbent serves as a Systems Administrator supporting business operations in the Redding District Office and surrounding area.

  • Provide administrative and technical support on the Local Area Network, servers, storage arrays, backup systems, printers, computers, laptops, tablets, mobile devices and telecommunications services.
  • Perform the activities of the System Development Life‑cycle, including analysis, design, build, test, maintenance, and operations.
  • Support all phases of end‑user device life‑cycle management: procurement, deployment, installation, configuration, maintenance, and operations, including surplus.
  • Deliver end‑user training on the configuration and use of client technologies.
  • Collaborate with peers and management to update and recommend standards, processes, procedures, and technology practices.
  • Track, monitor, and audit IT assets using standard asset‑management tools and techniques in compliance with the State Administrative Manual and other applicable policies.
  • Conduct research, write reports, present findings, and other related functions.
