Position
CT Tech | Traveler. Shift 07:00-19:30. Location Redding, CA 96001. Travel position. Start 02/09/2026 - 05/10/2026. Pay $65-$70 per hour. CT certified, California license. Ability to work both x-ray and CT. Able to start IV's. Work independently. Works well with other departments. Day shifts must work weekends. No exceptions.
Position SummaryResponsible for providing high-quality imaging services to patients at various healthcare facilities. Traveled to different locations, operating CT equipment, ensuring accurate imaging, and delivering patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Perform CT imaging procedures per physician orders and departmental protocols.
- Operate and maintain CT equipment, ensuring proper functionality and calibration.
- Utilize imaging techniques to obtain high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation.
- Prepare and position patients for CT scans, ensuring comfort and accurate positioning.
- Explain procedures to patients and address concerns to reduce anxiety.
- Monitor patients during procedures and respond to emergencies.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, radiation safety, infection control standards.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and other legal requirements.
- Follow policies for contrast administration and handle complications.
- Accurately document patient information, scan details, and other data.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, radiologists, and teams regarding scans and findings.
- Travel to various healthcare facilities, adapting to different environments and equipment.
- Flexibly adjust to schedules, workflows, and team dynamics.
- Education:
Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or related field. - Certification: ARRT certification in Radiography and CT. State-specific licensure, if applicable.
- Experience:
Minimum 1-2 years CT scanning experience, preferably diverse settings. Previous travel or multi-site experience is a plus. - Skills:
Proficiency in operating CT equipment, strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Ability to lift, position, and transfer patients as needed.
- Extended periods of standing and moving during shifts.
- Capability to handle high-stress environments while maintaining focus.
- Day shift hours with potential for on-call or weekend coverage.
- Must be willing to travel and stay in different locations as needed.
- Healthcare facilities including hospitals, outpatient imaging centers, and clinics.
- Exposure to radiation, bodily fluids, and infectious diseases with appropriate safety precautions in place.
