GI / Endoscopy Technician – Days

Location: Redding, CA
Facility: Acute Care Hospital
Shift: Days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
Contract Type: Travel / Contract

We are seeking an experienced GI / Endoscopy Technician to support physicians and nursing staff during gastrointestinal and endoscopic procedures in a fast-paced acute care setting. The GI Tech will function as a scrub assistant, prepare procedure rooms, handle sterile instruments, and ensure patient safety throughout all procedures.

• Assist physicians during GI and endoscopic procedures
• Prepare, pass, and maintain sterile instruments and scopes
• Operate and troubleshoot endoscopy equipment (Olympus experience preferred )
• Support patient positioning, monitoring, and comfort
• Maintain strict infection control and sterile technique
• Perform room turnover and equipment reprocessing
• Document care and procedures in EPIC EMR
• Collaborate with GI RNs, OR staff, and surgical services leadership

• 1–2+ years' experience as a GI / Endoscopy Technician
• BLS (AHA or Red Cross) – required
• Experience in an acute care or hospital setting
• EPIC EMR experience preferred

• 3 x 12-hour shifts
• No on-call required
