Speech Language Pathologist – Dignity Health
Job Summary and Responsibilities
The incumbent is responsible for the administration and direct application of Speech/Language Pathology treatment modalities as prescribed by a referring physician. The incumbent evaluates plans, directs, and treats all patients referred to speech/language according to the practice and standards of the American Speech and Hearing Association & California Board of Speech Pathology. The incumbent also provides pathology treatments to restore function and prevent disability following disease or injury.

Seek guidance when in doubt; promptly report potential or suspected violations of Standards of Conduct, policy, procedures, or applicable laws. When requested, assist personnel in investigating allegations of violation. When called upon, the incumbent shall assist in risk evaluation and work collaboratively with facility leaders to implement, monitor, and mitigate risk corrective plans outlined by the Compliance program.
Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications
- Current California Speech/Language Pathologist license required
- One year of experience as a speech therapist
- Knowledge and ability to perform a speech pathology assessment and evaluation required
- Knowledge of principles, concepts, diagnostic, and therapeutic techniques for speech therapy required
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite required
- Current BLS certification required (must be certified through the American Heart Association)
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of home care experience preferred

For more than 70 years Mercy Medical Center Redding has offered comprehensive health care in the North State providing acute care and a full range of medical services. The 267‑bed hospital offers major medical services including a Level II Trauma Center as well as specialized Cardiovascular Care, Stroke Care, Orthopedics, Neurological Surgery, Comprehensive Cancer Care, Maternity Care, and da Vinci Robotic Surgery.
It is the sole provider of obstetrical services and the only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Shasta County. In addition, the hospital’s network of care includes Mercy Home Health and Hospice and Dignity Health Connected Living. Mercy Medical Center Redding is a member of the Dignity Health system and is a sister facility to St. Elizabeth Community Hospital in Red Bluff and Mercy Medical Center Mt. Shasta.

$46.39 - $69.00 per hour
