Brief DescriptionThis position is responsible for meeting high‑level enrollment goals set by the Assistant Director of Admissions and Dean of Enrollment by recruiting high‑yield students through extensive travel (approximately 8‑10 weeks outside of the local region) to college/transfer fairs, high schools, churches, and other communities.
Responsibilities- Work with prospective students and direct all aspects of undergraduate recruitment for an assigned region.
- Assist students through the entire admissions process, including financial aid documentation and enrollment procedures.
- Travel extensively to promote the university at fairs, schools, churches, and other events.
- Provide leadership, supervision, scheduling, and training to student staff.
- Meet daily, weekly, and monthly recruitment targets in cooperation with the Dean of Enrollment.
- Evaluate and improve current recruitment processes, procedures, and strategies.
- Coordinate financial aid advisement with the Faculty Aid Office.
- Plan and implement campus events, visit days, and preview weekends.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of financial aid, transcript evaluation, registration processes, and CRM use.
- Review and accept applicants based on regular acceptance criteria.
- Provide excellent customer‑service experiences to prospective students and families.
- Personal relationship with Jesus and a vibrant Christian faith, capable of engaging in conversations about Christ.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- One or more years of student recruitment or sales experience preferred.
- Proven success in student recruitment or sales and a strong customer‑service orientation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, etc.).
- Ability to use CRM and SIS technology tools.
- Ability to lead a regional recruitment effort.
- Self‑starter with aptitude for training, assisting, and motivating student staff.
- Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus and demonstrate Christian commitment.
- Demonstrate Simpson University values in all duties.
- Adhere to Simpson University Lifestyle Policy as stated in the Staff Handbook.
- Keep confidentiality of information, data, and records.
- Use tact, diplomacy, discretion, and professional judgment.
- Exhibit strong customer‑service, organizational, and communication skills.
- Supervise employees following university policies and procedures.
- Provide overflow support to other departments as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Meet recruitment goals established by the Dean of Enrollment.
- Promote the university at external events and build relationships with key accounts.
- Train and supervise student staff in daily outreach.
- Set and achieve daily, weekly, and monthly recruitment plans.
- Improve recruitment processes and strategies.
- Collaborate with the Financial Aid Office for student advisement.
- Plan campus events and preview weekends.
- Stay current on financial aid, transcripts, registration processes, and CRM.
- Accept applicants based on acceptance criteria.
- Ensure online and paper communications are accurate and up‑to‑date.
Typical working conditions include sitting for extended periods at a computer, driving to events, and occasional light lifting (under 10 lbs). The job may require traveling in various weather conditions. No other major physical demands are anticipated.
