Ted Pella, Inc. is seeking a talented Graphic Designer for a full time on-site position to contribute to the development of the company brandand sales through the design and creation of marketing and sales materials. This position will also direct and shoot product and application photography and possibly some videography for web and print use, and possibly update website content.
JobDuties & Responsibilities:
- Produce a variety of collateral and visual communication elements, including catalogs, product and applications photography, direct mailers, print ads, trade show signage, social media posts, eblasts, and website content.
- Contribute to the visual development of the company brand. Create materials that promote and enhance the company brand and contribute to its continued visual development.
- Creative use of type, textual content and photos to produce attractive marketing materials.
- Design, print and maintain up-to-date trade show support materials (signage, displays, literature).
- Design and update web pages as needed (product images, technical descriptions and ordering information, diagrams and drawings).
- Shoot, format and maintain high-res (print) and low-res (web) libraries of all product and applications photography on the designated network drive in an organized and easily understood hierarchy.
- Design advertising for print and digital/web; manage advertising timelines and deadlines.
- Design and obtain quotations for outside printing of high-volume pieces such as direct mailing cards, catalogs, etc.
- Work with the social media coordinator to design and deploy product awareness and special event emails and social media content.
- Design and facilitate the printing of proprietary product artwork, labels, and instrumentation overlays.
- Maintain all work product in an organized manner on the company network.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Associate of Arts or Science degree in Graphic Arts or Graphic Design. A Bachelor of Arts or Science degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of related graphic design experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of typefaces and creative use of type.
- Ability to use a computer and other digital equipment for illustration and drawing skills.
- Proficient in tools that are part of the Adobe Creative Cloud including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, and Acrobat for PC, as well as Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Knowledge of Trello is desirable.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Dreamweaver, HTML and CSS to translate graphic design into web design framework is ideal.
- Demonstrated skill with digital photography with still cameras and preferably video cameras.
- Strong artistic creativity.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for accuracy.
- Proven project management and follow-through skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a collaborative team environment and provide thoughtful interaction with managers and co-workers.
- Ability to use a variety of copiers, scanners, and printers.
- Excellent spelling, grammar, writing, and proofreading skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in the English language, verbally and in writing.
- Ability to adapt and react in an ever-changing environment.
- Good problem-solving skills and good judgment.
- Ability to learn new things quickly, self-manage, prioritize, and complete tasks on time.
- Must have a strong attendance record and work ethic, and maintain a positive attitude at all times.
- Provide a portfolio of digital and printed completed work to demonstrate experience and skills at the interview.
Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM on-site in Redding, CA; hours may vary as needed based on business needs.
Hourly salary range is $24.25 - $34.00 per hour plus excellent benefits. Hourly rate will be commensurate with experience. This position includes a generous medical, dental and life/AD&D insurance plans. A 401(k) plan with Company match is available after 1 year. Time off includes vacation and sick leave after a brief waiting period, and 10 paid holidays.
