Personal Assistant reference

Overview

We are recruiting 2 Personal Assistants for my 10-year-old son. We would describe our big lad as a very happy, funny, loving and cheeky young man. He is very head strong and likes his routine. He enjoys watching TV, playing on his phone and collecting his favourite drink Pepsi Max.

He can be volatile at times so requires PAs who have had previous experience with complex special needs and autism. He loves to access the park, go for walks and enjoy seeing things on drives out.

• Previous training in de-escalation
• Previous experience with children with complex special needs
• Previous experience with children with autism

2 hours per week term time
4 hours per week during school holidays
Ideally the hours would be on a Saturday morning.
Wage: £12.21 per hour
Mileage and expenses to be paid by the family.

• Getting out into the community

• Support on a Saturday morning at the football pitch whilst sister plays football and mum can watch
