Overview
The City of Red Wing is seeking an entry level financial professional to join our team as an Accountant I. This position performs entry level professional accounting work in the preparation and maintenance of ledgers and reports; and performs related duties as required. The primary objective of this position is to assist in maintaining the accounting functions of the city by ensuring the accuracy of accounting procedures and providing assistance to the Accountant III, Finance and Accounting Manager, and Administrative Business Director.
Responsibilities- Perform entry level professional accounting work in the preparation and maintenance of ledgers and reports; and perform related duties as required.
- Assist in maintaining the accounting functions of the city by ensuring the accuracy of accounting procedures.
- Provide assistance to the Accountant III, Finance and Accounting Manager, and Administrative Business Director.
