Red Deer - 115 Queens Drive, Red Deer AB

Working Hours:

Part Time 20 hours per week (Monday to Friday 05:45-09:45)

Wage: $23.40 per hour

The AM Sorter sorts and separates freight by destination, weight, size, and shape to meet client delivery schedules.

• Unload freight from curbside trucks onto the conveyor and from conveyor into curbside trucks
• Unload freight off conveyor or chute for load-out
• Loads freight into linehaul / cube truck or trailer
• Preload mail and packages into curbside delivery vehicles
• Manually transfer bulk or non-conveyable items
• Scan all shipped or received mail or packages to identify improperly sorted packages and mail marked for priority or weekend delivery

• Proper scan and load techniques
• Ability to lift and/or carry up to 70 lbs.
• Ability to work with a sense of urgency in a time sensitive environment
• Willingness to work as part of a team
• Attention to process, quality and/or operational standards
• Successfully complete a criminal record check and employment verification to qualify
• Obtain a clear Police Clearance Certificate when required

Specialized education is not required.

No experience necessary.
