Stuart Olson is hiring Journeyman Pipefitter for an exciting maintenance opportunity at our client site in Red Deer, AB. This position offers a steady schedule of 4 days on 3 days off, with 10-hour workdays. Responsibilities
Maintain and repair piping systems which carry water, steam, chemicals or fuel used in heating, cooling, lubricating and other processesMaintain and repair pressurized piping systemsHydro test and install fabricated pipe spools within structural steel modular assemblies, adding designed supports as requiredMaintain all tools, work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion.Read and interpret client and company supplied construction fabrication drawings and specificationsEnsure work areas are kept clean and free of hazardsEnsure tools and equipment are returned to job boxes and tool cribsReport all incidents, “near miss” incidents including damages/non-damage, injury/non-injury incidentsReview and participate in the preparation of safe work practices/procedures as required.Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor as neededQualifications
Journeyman Pipefitter ticket or Apprentice Valid government-issued photo CSTS-2020 / CSO / CSTS 09 (site specific)H2S Alive or H2S AwarenessFall ProtectionConfined Space Entry MonitorPre-Access Drug and Alcohol testingWorking Conditions
Working both indoors and outdoors in hot and cold weather conditionsWorking in and around noise and dustMust be clean shavenPersonal safety equipment will be required, e.g. steel-toed safety bootsPhysical Requirements
