LocationLeduc, AB – the successful candidate will work with customers and the DLS team to install automated milking equipment at dairy farms throughout Alberta, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
Job OverviewThis is a full‑time Monday–Friday position. Compensation will be based on background and experience. Once trained the role requires on‑call emergency service.
Job Duties- Install automated milking equipment in dairy barns requiring experience in electrical, electronics, compressed air, plumbing and hydraulics.
- Troubleshoot installation problems.
- Weld equipment and components for proper installation.
- Follow detailed diagrams/drawings of parlour map and install all components accordingly.
- Co‑operate with other construction contractors to ensure all aspects of the job are covered.
- Operate forklift/telehandler and aerial lift equipment on occasion.
- Maintain a professional and collaborative relationship and image with our customers.
- Provide quality workmanship consistent with company and industry standards.
- Follow health and safety requirements to prevent illness or injury.
- Work indoors/outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Plumbing and electrical experience is a definite asset.
- Installation Technician experience and/or background in the dairy industry is an asset.
- Highly organized to plan your day and prioritize workload, meeting strict deadlines and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team and take ownership of assigned work.
- Strong communication skills to clearly communicate with customers regarding the work being done.
- Ability to perform physical tasks that may require climbing, lifting, pushing, bending/stooping.
- Mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot mechanical equipment.
- Legally entitled to live and work in Canada.
- Valid G driver’s license with a clean abstract and own vehicle; not located on a public transportation route.
