Entry-Level Sales Representative-Sustainable Agriculture

Location: Alberta (remote with some travel)

We’re growing fast and looking for an Entry-Level Sales Representative to join our Canadian team. If you’re curious about sustainable agtech, love organizing, and want to work with people who are passionate about making a difference, this could be your start.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you’ll be the go-to support for our sales operations- helping our team and customers stay connected, organized, and informed. You’ll manage details behind the scenes so our Sales Managers can focus on field relationships and growth.

Here’s what a typical week might include:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor for retail partners and customers, providing technical insights on product applications and benefits.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve company objectives, revenue targets, and grow Soileos' market presence.
  • Identify new business opportunities, market trends, and strategic sales channels to drive customer adoption.
  • Present technical product information to key decision-makers at retail and grower levels.
  • Directing customer inquiries to the most suitable team member for resolution.
  • Conduct field trials and product demonstrations, educating potential customers on agronomic benefits and product efficacy.
  • Analyze competitive market data and customer needs to develop customized solutions for customers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and research, to align on product positioning and market strategies.
  • Monitor sales performance and adjust strategies to meet changing market dynamics.
  • Developing presentations, reports, and follow-up materials that enable rapid decision‑making within the sales department.
  • Making sure marketing materials and samples are stocked and ready to go.
  • Keeping customer and retailer information up to date in our CRM.

You’ll learn how sales in agriculture really work, from logistics to customer success, and build a foundation for future growth in agtech, sustainability, or business development.

What We’re Looking For
  • A diploma or degree in Business, Agriculture, Environmental Studies or equivalent experience.
  • Some experience in sales support, logistics, customer service, or marketing.
  • Excellent organization and follow-through (you’re the kind of person who likes checking things off lists).
  • Great communicator-you enjoy working with people and solving problems.
  • Comfortable using Excel, PowerPoint, and (bonus!) CRM tools like Hub Spot or Salesforce.
  • Curious about agriculture, sustainability, and innovation.
