  • Additional wage in lieu of benefits: 5.6% of regular wage earnings (paid holidays), 6% (annual vacation pay)
  • Shift premium pay: $3.25 per hour for weekends and holidays, $2.75 per hour for evenings

Role Responsibilities

We are looking for highly motivated, well‑organized, responsible Maintenance Workers for the 2026 summer season. Individuals will be part of a team accountable for providing regular maintenance and operational duties that support the day‑to‑day operation of campgrounds, day‑use areas, facilities, and trail systems.

We are currently looking to hire:

  • 22 Park Maintenance Workers (MSW1)
  • 5 Park Maintenance Crew Leads (MSW3)

As a Park Maintenance Service Worker (MSW1), duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Daily cleaning of washroom facilities, campground sites and other facilities.
  • Performing groundskeeping and landscaping duties such as lawn maintenance, invasive plant management, beach cleaning and trail maintenance.
  • Performing routine and preventive maintenance on infrastructure, vehicles and equipment.
  • Operating equipment such as mowers, trimmers and utility vehicles.
  • Installing and maintaining signage.
  • Reporting all maintenance concerns to Crew Leads and Maintenance Supervisors.
  • Being familiar with and practicing all pertinent Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) policies, procedures and protocols as well as the Facility Emergency Response Plan and protocols.
  • Completing administrative tasks such as timesheets, expense claims, commencement and termination paperwork and online courses.

As the Park Maintenance Crew Lead (MSW3), primary duties include assisting with and performing MSW1 duties in addition to some front‑line administrative and supervisory tasks such as:

  • On‑site lead for MSW1 staff; accountable for leading day‑to‑day maintenance duties.
  • Complete daily tail‑gate meetings and safety inspections.
  • Conduct water testing for small water systems.
  • Assist with playground routine inspections and maintenance.
  • Maintain trails, roads and parking lot areas.
  • Maintain beaches, campground sites and day‑use areas.
  • Operate heavy equipment such as skid steers and single axle dump trucks.
  • Operate chainsaws, brush saws and other higher‑risk equipment.
  • Assist with water and wastewater system start‑up/shutdown and operations.

All positions will require you to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, up to 40 hours per week. Maintenance staff must be able to perform physical duties outdoors in all weather conditions.
