Welder Lead

Bilton is seeking Lead Hands in our Fabrication Shop to assist our current leadership with providing supervision in our B Pressure, Tank and Structural, and Structural welding shops.

Schedule:

Full-Time

• Days:
  Monday–Thursday 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Nights:
  Monday–Thursday 4:30 PM – 3:00 AM

• Support the Foreman in supervising and delegating tasks to welding teams.
• Ensure production schedules and quality standards are met across all projects.
• Mentor and train welders, providing guidance on fabrication, layout, and fit‑up.
• Perform hands‑on fabrication tasks, ensuring high‑quality workmanship.
• Monitor safety compliance and reinforce company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
• Conduct inspections during and after manufacturing to verify adherence to Bilton standards.
• Accurately complete and submit all required paperwork.
• Maintain an organized and clean shop environment to ensure efficiency.
• Provide coverage for Foremen as needed.

• Journeyman Welder Certification (B Pressure may be required)
• 3-5 years of welding/fabrication experience (B Pressure, tank, or structural).
• 1-3 years of leadership/supervisory experience.
• Ability to mentor, train, and support welders in achieving production goals.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Leadership and team management capabilities.
• Ability to uphold and enforce company policies and procedures.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication and collaboration.

• Overtime will be required, as per production demands
• Extreme weather conditions while working indoors and outdoors
