Are you a motivated individual with a commitment to safety and customer service? Do you excel in fast-paced environments? Innisfail Agro Centre presents the perfect opportunity for you! We’re currently looking for seasonal Agro Equipment Operators to join our dynamic team.
Position: Agro Equipment Operator
Term: This is a temporary contract for approximately 7 months, from March 2026 to October 2026
Part-time: 24 - 36 hours per week
Availability: Weekdays and weekends - mornings, afternoons, and evenings
Responsibilities:
Operate equipment such as Floaters, Sprayers, and Loaders safely and efficiently
Conduct pre-operation inspections, routine maintenance, and follow daily maintenance schedules
Ensure accurate product application, documentation, and timely paperwork submission
Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and environmental standards
Obtain and maintain WHMIS and TDG certifications; complete required eLearning
Analyze agricultural trends and promote cross-marketing opportunities with growers
Load and unload products safely and efficiently
Maintain cleanliness of equipment, inside and out, on a regular basis
Work flexible hours, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends as needed
Coordinate with Agro Delivery Drivers to ensure smooth operations
Build and maintain strong customer relationships, addressing needs and special requests
Communicate effectively with team members, customers, and supervisors
Prioritize tasks to ensure timely delivery of products and services
Report incidents and concerns to the supervisor promptly
Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager
Qualifications:
High School diploma is preferred
Must provide an acceptable driver's abstract upon hire
Class 3 Driver's License is preferred
Applicators licence required for Sprayer operator
Experience in customer service is preferred
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Knowledge of Central Alberta and surrounding area to successfully navigate is an asset
Experience with Viper GPS systems is an asset
Wheel loader and Floater operator experience is an asset
Working knowledge of Ag. Equipment is a requirement
