Do you have an eye for detail, a passion for accuracy, and a commitment to fairness? Red Deer County is seeking an Assistant Assessor to join our dedicated Assessment Services team. This is your opportunity to play a vital role in ensuring equitable property assessments that support the foundation of Red Deer County services.
What You’ll Do- Assist in delivering accurate property valuations across Red Deer County.
- Conduct property inspections and collect data to ensure compliance with legislation and County bylaws.
- Respond to inquiries from residents and internal teams with professionalism and care.
- Organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintain your professional development and stay current with industry standards.
- Operate County vehicles for site visits and uphold safety practices at all times.
- Certificate or diploma in Real Property Assessment (or equivalent experience).
- Enrollment in the Accredited Municipal Assessors of Alberta (AAMA) designation.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and assessment software.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and acceptable driver’s abstract.
- Acceptable Criminal Records Check
