The Engineering Change Coordinator is responsible for the following core functions:
Performing item structure and work definition maintenance as directed by Engineering Change Orders, ERP system enhancement support, and documentation and continual improvement of the engineering change processes. Additional responsibilities include data analytics and reporting in support of other teams or projects as required.
The compensation for this role will be commensurate based on education and/or experience.
Responsibilities- Coordinates item structure and work definition changes in close collaboration with Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Warehouse and Finance teams for all product lines based on released Engineering change orders (ECOs).
- Supports the development of item structures for new product lines and coordinates engineering change processes with all functions involved.
- Monitors ECO “cut in” dates by monitoring Oracle supply plan and Badger production schedule to ensure a seamless change for manufacturing while eliminating the scrapping of material.
- Acts as a liaison between the Materials Team, Procurement, Engineering and Manufacturing to communicate and jointly resolve any item structure, work order demand discrepancies.
- Exceptional attention to detail and eagerness to work with spreadsheets daily, making continuous updates to improve item structure accuracy and data flow, is critical for this role.
- A strong analytical mindset and experience with data analysis are required, along with advanced working knowledge of common software packages: MS Office (most importantly, Excel) and SharePoint (Power Bi, Power Automate considered a plus).
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems (especially Oracle), including item structure and production management modules, is considered an asset.
- Exceptional organizational and self-management skills with the ability to stay focused and keep on top of priority tasks in a fast-paced environment are required.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work with various stakeholders from different functional areas to coordinate and drive projects.
