Veterinary Radiology Technician

Equipped with advanced diagnostics like MRI, CT, fluoroscopy, and a PET scanner, the hospital features 52 exam rooms, 12 surgical suites, a dedicated emergency department, and expanded training spaces. Position Overview

A Veterinary Radiology Technician supports veterinarians and specialists in the delivery of advanced diagnostic imaging services. They are responsible for preparing patients, operating imaging equipment, ensuring image quality, assisting with procedures, and maintaining compliance with safety and medical standards. The role requires technical proficiency, patient care skills, and strong collaboration with the veterinary team.

Compensation
  • Full Time
  • Credentialed Technicians: $27-31/hr based on experience
  • Non‑Credentialed Technicians: $22-25/hr based on experience

The final compensation offer will be based on the qualified candidate’s experience and ability to make an impact coming into the role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily patient schedules and assist with prioritization in collaboration with Radiologists and Specialty teams.
  • Intake patients for referral imaging and facilitate safe movement between departments and imaging rooms.
  • Position, restrain, and monitor patients during radiographs, ultrasounds, CT scans, and other imaging procedures.
  • Perform venipuncture (catheter placement, blood draws, drug administration) and process lab specimens.
  • Administer and monitor sedation under the direction of Specialists or Anesthesiologists.
  • Upload and manage imaging files in the viewing database; document patient care and charges in medical systems.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on positioning and image quality, training team members as needed.
  • Support hospital operations by maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • One year of experience working as a nursing team member in a veterinary hospital is required.
  • Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required; fluency in multiple languages is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Credentialed as a Veterinary Technician (LVT/CVT/RVT).
  • Prior experience working as a veterinary nurse in a Radiology department.
