Job Description
We are recruiting a highly organised and experienced Logistics Manager for a long-term Government project based in Aldermaston. This role requires a candidate with proven site logistics management experience and the necessary qualifications to oversee complex site operations.
Due to the nature of the project, Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance will be required. This includes a basic DBS check, which will be arranged and paid for by us.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Planning, coordinating, and managing site logistics operations.
* Managing deliveries, waste removal, and site traffic management.
* Supervising logistics teams to ensure safe and efficient operations.
* Liaising with site management, subcontractors, and suppliers.
* Implementing and enforcing health and safety standards.
* Maintaining records and ensuring compliance with site security requirements.
Requirements
* Valid SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certificate.
* Valid Black CSCS card.
* Valid 3-Day First Aid at Work certificate.
* Minimum 3 years verifiable work history in the UK (with no gaps longer than 28 days).
* Must have lived in the UK for at least 5 years.
* Strong leadership and communication skills.
* Previous logistics management experience on construction projects.
Security Clearance (BPSS)
* All applicants must be eligible for and pass BPSS clearance.
* This includes a basic DBS check, which will be arranged and paid for by us.
* Candidates must provide a full 3-year work history and 5 years of UK residency to meet these requirements.
