Job Title:

Warehouse Operative-DRIVING LICENCE REQUIRED

Reading, UK

Hours:

Monday to Friday: 06:30- 8:30 AM start flexability required (8 hour working day with 1 hour unpaid lunch)
Alternate Saturdays: 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Pay: £12.21 per hour, paid weekly

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic team in Reading. The successful candidate will be responsible for various warehouse duties, ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse and delivery services.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Duties:

Picking and packing car parts accurately according to order sheets (such us brake pads, discs, fluids, batteries, and other heavy items)

Scanning, wrapping, and labelling items ready for dispatch

Loading and unloading delivery vans safely and efficiently

Sorting, processing, and recording any returns

Maintaining a clean and organised working area at all times

Delivery Driving Duties:

Delivering car parts and accessories to local customers and garages

Handling a range of automotive components.

Conducting vehicle checks before and after each shift

Ensuring deliveries are made on time and in excellent condition

Providing friendly and professional customer service at every drop

Requirements

Full, valid UK driving licence (no more than 6 points; no DR or IN convictions)

Previous experience in multi-drop delivery driving or warehouse operations preferred but not essential

Good knowledge of local routes around Exeter and surrounding areas is beneficial

Physically fit and capable of manual handling and heavy lifting throughout the shift

Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team

Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety

Pay and Benefits
