Electrical Supervisor

Salary: £45k to £50k dep on exp. + car allowance, pension, healthcare

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join a well established M&E Contractor who are based in the West Midlands.

As the successful Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation of electrical systems and equipment including lighting, power, alarms, CCTV etc. on a large, fast paced commercial/industrial project in Reading. You can therefore either be based in Reading or the West Midlands. Full allowance & accommodation will be provided if you are Midlands based.

Day to day you will work closely with a team of electricians to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. You will have a strong background in electrical systems and possess excellent leadership and organizational skills.

• Supervise a team of electricians and provide guidance, training, and support as needed
• Plan and schedule work assignments for the team, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget
• Review and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and other technical documents
• Inspect work sites to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the installation or maintenance of electrical systems
• Coordinate with other departments and contractors to ensure smooth and efficient project completion
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and hours worked by the team
• Keep up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in electrical technology and equipment
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within the electrical department

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical systems installation
• Proven experience in a supervisory role, with strong leadership and communication skills
• In-depth knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, such as blueprints and schematics
• Proficient in using electrical testing equipment and troubleshooting techniques
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Experience working with commercial & industrial projects
