Job Title:
HGV Technician (Municipal)
* Salary: £24.50p/h (OT rate £36.75p/h)

We are looking for a HGV Technician to join our prestigous client at one of their REFUSE commercial vehicles in Reading.
This role also offers the opportunity to gain an IRTEC, IVR and a Heavy Goods Licence.
HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter
Job Responsibilities:
* Ensure repairs are carried out according to manufacturer’s procedures and in a safe and responsible manner.
* Assist in the fault diagnosis process.
* Comply with warranty procedures during repairs and with warranty material on completion of a repair.
* Work with the parts team to ensure the correct replacement parts are fitted to the vehicles.
* Road test vehicle when required (if holder of HGV licence).
* Ensure that the company time recording procedures are complied with and that job cards are completed accurately
* Ensure that service sheets are completed as per manufacture instructions.
* Ensure that all vehicle defects are reported to your workshop controller
HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter Qualifications and Requirements:
* Experience with in the REFUSE commercial vehicle industry.
* Time-served HGV Technician or equivalent qualification (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 preferred)
* Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
* An extensive experience in carrying out repairs and maintenance on trucks, components and associated vehicles.
* Familiarization with developments in the automotive industry.
* Valid Driving License
