Plumbing Engineer – Reading

Home Serve UK is recruiting for directly employed Plumbing Engineers in Reading. This is a full‑time role (40 hours per week, including weekends, evenings and bank holidays) with a salary of £38,800‑£42,950 (dependent on experience) plus a £3,000 guaranteed bonus in the first year.

As a Plumbing Engineer you will undertake the maintenance and repair work of plumbing systems in our customers’ homes, providing industry‑leading service, enhancing our reputation, and driving customer growth.

• Level 2 in Plumbing (copies of certificates must be provided)
• 1st and 2nd fix plumbing experience
• Experience working as a plumber in domestic housing
• Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
• Excellent customer service skills
• Proactive, ‘can do’ attitude
• Keen eye for detail and problem‑solving skills

To help you settle into your career at Home Serve, you will undergo an extensive training programme:

• Week 1 – Attend Home Serve Head Office, Walsall, Monday‑Friday covering Home Serve, health & safety, and receiving your tools and equipment.
• Week 2 – Be buddyed up with an experienced Home Serve Plumbing Engineer.
• Where appropriate, accommodation and meal allowance for your induction will be paid.
