Welding Inspector

Location: AWE Burghfield
Contract Type: Contract (Site-Based)
Duration: Initial 3-month contract with view to extension
Rate: 600 per day (all-in rate)
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday

We are seeking an experienced Welding Inspector to support a major Mechanical & Electrical contractor delivering works on the AWE Burghfield site. This is a site-based role focused on ensuring welding activities meet required quality, safety, and compliance standards within a highly regulated environment.

• Inspect and verify welding activities in accordance with project specifications, codes, and standards

• Review welding procedures (WPS), qualifications (WPQ), and associated documentation

• Carry out visual inspections and coordinate NDT activities as required

• Ensure compliance with quality plans, ITPs, and project QA/QC requirements

• Produce accurate inspection reports and maintain quality records

• Liaise with construction, QA, and engineering teams to resolve non-conformance's

• Promote high standards of safety and quality on site at all times

• CSWIP Welding Inspector certification

• PCN / NDT qualifications (as applicable to the role)

• Proven experience in welding inspection on large M&E or industrial projects

• Strong understanding of welding codes, standards, and inspection techniques

• Ability to work effectively in a highly regulated site environment

• Previous experience working on AWE sites

• Live SC or DV security clearance (preferred but not essential)
• Candidates without clearance can be put through the clearance process

• Site-based role with no remote working

• Competitive all-in day rate of 600
